Privacy notice

Last updated October 22, 2026

This notice explains how Consilium Medici handles information when you visit this website or contact Dr. Sloan about educational advising and mentorship. The website currently accepts inquiries only; online bookings and payments are not available.

Who to contact

Consilium Medici is operated by Frank J. Sloan, MD, FAAP. For questions about this notice or information you have provided, email frank@consiliummedici.co.

Information in an inquiry

The inquiry link opens your own email app. The website does not contain an inquiry form, account registration, booking form, or checkout. When you email, your message may include your name, email address, current educational stage, and the question or support you describe.

That information is used to respond to your inquiry, understand the support you are requesting, and discuss possible next steps.

What to send initially

A broad outline of your question is enough. Please do not include Social Security numbers, payment card details, medical records, or full academic records in your first email. If additional materials are needed later, the scope and method for sharing them will be discussed first.

Who handles your inquiry

Dr. Sloan personally handles inquiry emails. He is the only person within Consilium Medici with access to the inquiry mailbox; there is no secretary or other staff handling your correspondence. Email and hosting providers also process information as described below.

How long inquiries are kept

For people who do not become clients, inquiry emails will be kept for 12 months after the last contact and then deleted, unless a legal obligation requires them to be preserved. Records relating to an agreed client engagement will be covered by the applicable client-record arrangements.

Students under 18

A parent or guardian should participate in the initial inquiry for a student under 18. An exception applies to legally emancipated students who have legal authority to make their own decisions. Please do not send legal documents or other sensitive records in your first email; any necessary next steps will be discussed separately.

For adult students, a parent’s payment for services does not itself authorize access to the student’s information. Parent participation and sharing of advising information require the student’s permission.

Email and website providers

Email passes through your email provider and the Microsoft 365 service used for Consilium Medici’s business mailbox. The website is hosted through ChatGPT Sites. Email providers process messages to deliver email. Website hosting and network providers, including OpenAI and Cloudflare, may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, request times, and cookies to operate and protect the website.

Consilium Medici has not added analytics or advertising trackers to this website. Hosting providers may still use cookies and logs to operate their services. You can read more in the OpenAI privacy policy, Cloudflare privacy policy, and Microsoft privacy statement. External websites linked from this site have their own information-handling practices.

Questions or corrections

To ask about information you have provided, request access or a correction, or request deletion, email Dr. Sloan at the address above. Please describe your request without including sensitive records. Dr. Sloan may need to confirm your identity before responding. Requests will be handled in accordance with applicable requirements, including any obligation to preserve records.

Changes to this notice

This notice will be updated if the operator or information-handling practices change, including the introduction of document intake, booking, or payment services. The date above identifies the latest update.
